As a former wilderness guide, I am so excited at any chance I get to combine the outdoors with photography. When Daisy + Rusben told me they wanted a woodsy, outdoor session, I knew Angeles National Forest engagement photos would be perfect for them! After braving the LA traffic, we made it up to this spot that was perfect to catch the glowy sunset. We had such a fun adventure in Angeles National Forest and I certainly can’t wait to go back! Being away from the city, the freedom to run around and breathe deeply and enjoy the view was remarkable. A little city escape is refreshing, and even more so with the crisp mountain air up in Angeles National Forest.

At this point, it was time for an outfit change and I knew the light was going to hit perfectly on this little trail a bit below us. Daisy was the most impressive as she hiked a short distance, down to the most perfect golden patch in her heels!

Sunset photos in the mountains are truly magic. The glow coming off of the ridgeline feels soft, romantic, and warm. Angeles National Forest truly is Los Angeles’ hidden gem for engagement photos. Daisy and Rusben couldn’t resist taking a moment to spin in the mountains with the last bit of light and I couldn’t have been happier to capture it!
